1787 Fugio Cent Newman 12-S Rarity-5. NGC graded Good-4. Attractive glossy chocolate and medium brown. No roughness, planchet flaws, or contact marks. Just well worn. The date is strong and the legends are complete except for weakness in a few letters of UNITED STATES on the reverse label. STATES UNITED type. EAC grade closer to G6 than the slab grade.

1787 Fugio Cent Newman 18-U Rarity-4. PCGS graded EF-45. Glossy medium brown and chocolate. The only defects are a few microscopic traces of fine verdigris, mostly near the rim at the top of the reverse. The date and legends are complete and clear. Both sides display strong die clashmarks. A nice example of the UNITED STATES type.

1787 Fugio Cent New Haven Restrike Newman 104-FF in Copper. PCGS graded MS-63 Brown. Frosty medium brown with darker toning on the highest points of the obverse. No contact marks or other defects. Struck between 1860 and 1877 using copy dies. Listed on page 83 of the "Redbook."

  Group of 5 Colonial Coppers. Includes a 1788 Connecticut Miller 16.1-D Rarity-3 in F12, an undated New Jersey in Basal State-1, a 1787 Fugio Cent Newman 12-M Rarity-4+ in VG8, and a pair of imitation British halfpennies dated 1749 and 1773 grading G4 and AG3. A few are slightly sharper with minor defects. Lot of 5 coins.

1794 Franklin Press Token Breen-1165. PCGS graded AU-58. Choice glossy light chocolate brown. Very near mint state and nearly flawless. The eye appeal is outstanding for the grade. The only marks of any significance are a short line of tiny pinpricks in the field high above the T in THE. Scarce EDS, before the die failure inside the press.

Lot 2018
  (1795) Washington Liberty and Security Penny Breen-1254. SEGS graded EF-40 Holed. Variety with the usual ASYLUM edge. A bit sharper but there are a few nicks on the upper part of the head, a dull nick on the nostril, and a larger dull mark on the General's chest. A moderately sized hole was drilled through the W in WASHINGTON. Otherwise the surfaces are smooth with a glossy chocolate and steel brown patina and hints of bluish steel overtone, most likely from an old cleaning. EAC grade net VF20 but holed.
